Cassie’s unique skill set of motivational mind set was instilled in her at a young age. Growing up her sister whom was non-verbal with a diagnosis of epilepsy & autism helped her understand people & animals in a unique perspective. Through her sister, Cassie learned about communication styles, the power of positivity, behavioral expressions and unconditional love. With these skills Cassie went on to start her own business educating people of all ages how to find that inner child and enjoy what horses & life have to offer. From writing for Horse N Around magazine, being a guest clinician at 4H clinics all over MN & WI, to being a featured presenter at collage courses, local barns, Horse Crazy Market & EquiFest Expo, she brings a level of mental advantage & strengh for any style rider.
I love everything there is about horses. from watching them graze peacefully soaking up the sun too powering through, muscles rippling as they cross a time line. Bringing people & horses together is not only a passion of mine but a blessing I get to live everyday.
I will be by your side while we keep our hearts on target.
2019 Overall Western Nationals Cowgirl
Multiple Open Eliminator Champion
CMSA World Record Holder.
I am a wife, a mother and yet I am a cowgirl. I thrive off competition. Although I have competed in several disciplines in the past I have found my home with Cowboy Mounted Shooting. I have been shooting for 10 years and as of the past few years have skyrocketed to the pro division as a Ladies Level 6. As a fierce competitor I have won an Overall Cowgirl title at a Major, Open Eliminator Showcases, Double downs and claimed a World Record.
Life is a journey, right? I got the opportunity to start riding at the age of 7. My sister and I wanted to keep access to horses and my parents said if you want it, then you have to work for it. Work for it we did! This hard work led to spending summers at the barn, learning everything meticulously, slave working, yet winning championships.
I started out riding western and english pleasure where our instructor passed on the philosophy of Lynn Palm. Show jumping came into my life around the age of fourteen. I kept working hard, taking lesson, getting educated in any way shape or form. I started jumping at a higher level which brought me to different barns to train with to meet our needs.
Hard work and dedication opened up many learning and riding opportunities that would have never presented themselves otherwise. I got to fine tune a string of Grand Prix jumping horses to help pay for college. I got to train and compete an ottb and win the Children’s/Adult winter series and classic. For three years I got to ride and compete a 1 D barrel horse winning a handful of events. All that meant I was working 8 horses a day, going to school full time and working if not always working side gigs to help fuel and to keep me pursuing my dreams.
Mounted Shooting came into my life when I finished school and had a corporate job.
Ten years ago I took the first shot off of the back of a horse and hit a balloon. The rest was history. I used to be jealous of the girls that grew up in horse or ranching families, but today I am thankful for my journey. I am now able to speak out all the knowledge that has been instilled into me through all the years of lessons and experience making horses in several different disciplines. I now get to pay forward what I am so passionate about. I get to shape mounted shooters into better riders which makes them better performers and counterparts for their mounts.
